Water temple tadao ando
The Water Temple is an excellent example of Ando's re-interpretation of the Japanese aesthetic. Lemay designs an all-round view for the Bromont Summit Chalet. The natural environment around the church adds to the experience, especially in the months between December and April when the ground is covered in snow. The arrival at the temper is a labyrinth structure as it is necessary to pass through openings along walls to reach the heart of the building. Again this is classic Ando, as he often uses pools of water to bring into his architecture the surrounding natural environment. Entering a door in the wall reveals another high concrete wall with a graceful curve.
